West Dean Club (Hillside Close, West Dean, SP5 1EX) has recently reopened with a distinct community feel, following its closure in February a team of local lady volunteers decided to use the opportunity to refresh and update this ex MOD police club for the community. With the help of the locals they rolled up their sleeves and painted, strimmed, cleaned and tidied the inside and grounds and reopened on Fete day the 2nd June, with a visit from the Romsey Old Cadets.
The community club is fully licensed and available to host meetings, social gatherings, events and parties at no charge in fact we actively encourage anything that will engage our rural communities so if you want to hold anything from knit and natter to band practice, we would love to offer you a venue to meet up.
The community club can be found opposite East Brothers Sawmill who have recently kindly supported the committee by donating wood for the lovely new decking area, that offers our members, wonderful views over West Dean and the Dun Valley.
The lady committee and voluntary bar staff offer all visitors, a warm welcome and should you like to join our membership (just £5 per year) you join a group of dedicated people offering a licensed venue for refreshments; social interaction and entertainment in a lovely rural setting, serviced by hourly trains from the Dean station just 5 minute walk from the station
We welcome well behaved dogs and children too.
