Cycle to help wildlife conservation

Walk, ride, cycle or run to help wildlife conservation

The Game & Wildlife Conservation Trust (GWCT) – the UK’s leading wildlife research charity – has launched a new online fundraising challenge to help raise money for its vital conservation work.

The GWCT 4×4 Friends Challenge is easy and open to anyone. All entrants need to do is:

–          Run, Walk, Cycle OR Ride 4k

–          Donate £4 via the challenge website at

–          Nominate 4 friends, family members or colleagues to do the same thing

The challenge can be done as part of a regular walk, run, ride or other exercise. GWCT organiser Sophie Dingwall says:

As Covid has made face to face fundraising and formal events virtually impossible since the beginning of the pandemic, please give this your full support by clicking on and forwarding the link to your friends and family.

All proceeds from the challenge go to the GWCT, making this a simple and effective way to help British wildlife at a time when it’s most needed. The Trust hopes to raise at least £4,000 – and hopefully a lot more – and their progress can be followed online and promoted via social media.

Sophie Dingwall adds:

It’s a common theme that throughout lockdown we all enjoyed the rich wildlife the British countryside has to offer, and this is an amazing opportunity to give something to help preserve that for future generations.

To take part in the GWCT 4×4 Friends Challenge or make a separate donation please visit
