Slate Quarry Path by Terry Jamieson – winner

Viewfinders of Romsey Camera Club annual Landscape Trophy competition

Viewfinders of Romsey Camera Club recently held its annual Landscape Trophy competition and sixty-six images were entered. The judge, Jim Pascoe, selected “Slate Quarry Path” by Terry Jamieson as the winner. He said he liked the contrast between the natural world on the right and the impact of man on the left of the image. Terry also received a Seal of Merit for another of his images. Mary Gardiner took both silver and bronze positions with “Autumn on the Downs” and “Reykjavik” respectively. Pete Robertson was awarded two Seals of Merit and others were awarded to Brian Whittaker and Peter Finch.

At present the club is meeting online and this has enabled it to have speakers & judges from further afield than is normally practicable. In normal circumstances Viewfinders meets most Tuesdays at the Jubilee Hall, New Road, Timsbury and new members, regardless of photographic experience, are always welcome. For more information, visit the club’s website at or e-mail
