Transfer of services in Andover to Age Concern Hampshire

Age Concern Hampshire
is delighted to announce the extension of its services in Andover and the Test Valley areas following the transfer of services previously offered by Age UK Mid Hampshire from the office in the centre of Andover at Town Mill House. Among the services offered are:

  • Advice and drop in each morning for general enquiries; including advice on an individual’s entitlement information to benefits for people of pension age and the disabled.
  • Lasting Power of Attorney
  • Enablement – supporting clients integrate back into the community after certain life changing events.
  • Social groups

Services were transferred from Age UK Mid Hampshire to Age Concern Hampshire on 1st June 2018.  We hope the transfer has been almost seamless, the only obvious change being the new signage at the office which is now in place.

These services compliment similar services Age Concern Hampshire offer elsewhere in the county and we are pleased we now have a physical presence in Andover.

Our new Chief Executive Officer said:

I am delighted with this transfer, it secures vital services for older people in Andover and across the Test Valley.  The work of the dedicated staff and volunteers who provide such excellent support to clients significantly strengthens our ability to support people in this part of Hampshire.
