Play to the Crowd’s creative learning and community engagement team, Playmakers, is inviting teachers from across the county to an Education Forum to give them the chance to talk about how the charity can support their schools’ arts activity.
The event – that will take place at The Nutshell events space, in Winchester city centre, on Thursday 19 March, from 5.30pm – 7pm – is an opportunity for Playmakers to talk about how they can assist local schools with their arts education through workshops, talks, shows and other projects.
It will also give teachers a space to share skills, raise issues and network. The forum is open to anyone working in education, from Early Years to University level.
It will be followed by drinks, and teachers are invited to stay on as guests to watch Jane Eyre – a captivating and brooding story of an orphan girl who journeys from a childhood of loneliness and cruelty to life at Thornfield Hall and an unlikely relationship with the mysterious Mr Rochester. The performance, at Theatre Royal Winchester, will begin at 7.30pm and will include a post-show chat.
The forum is FREE but there are limited spaces. To reserve a place, please email Playmakers’ Director, Jo Wright, at jo@playtothecrowd.co.uk.
