Romsey & Waterside Lions Club is looking forward to its 40th birthday celebrations this year. Over the years we have supported many local charities both “hands on” and by giving them donations to fund their activities.
Local charities which have benefitted include those that help young carers, support those living with cancer, the disabled, visually impaired persons, the elderly and local scout and sea cadet groups. We are a registered charity and to raise funds we organise fashion shows, quizzes, street and supermarket collections.
We attend local fetes and shows with our stall selling second hand books, toys, and our popular key box game where for a donation of 40p there is a chance to win £5. Every month we can be found in Romsey Cornmarket selling second hand good quality paperbacks for a £1 each and children’s books for 50p. With ever changing stock there are hundreds of book titles to browse through each month. Donations of good quality paperbacks are always appreciated.
Lions are both men and women, and there are no upper age restriction to membership however you must be over 18. We are approachable people from many walks of life, and we enjoy an active social life. A few hours a month are all it takes to help others less fortunate in our community.

The Lions have a motto “Ordinary People Doing Amazing Things”. And we do year after year.
