Children and their grown-ups with a sense of adventure will enjoy multi-award winning author Raymond Briggs’ The Bear, when it arrives at Theatre Royal Winchester from Saturday 1 – Sunday 2 February.
The Bear tells the story of Tilly who is visited one night, when she is fast asleep, by an enormous bear. But far from being scared, Tilly befriends the mischievous creature in this playful, funny and heart-warming tale of imagination.
Written by the same author of festive favourites The Snowman, The Snowman and the Snowdog and Father Christmas, as well as Fungus the Bogeyman, this stage version of The Bear is presented by Pins and Needles Productions who develop adaptations and create original works to introduce young audiences and their families to theatre.
Pins and Needles Productions tells the story with the help of a giant polar bear puppet, music and laughter, for an unforgettable experience for the whole family – and advise that audiences bring a bear of their own to join Tilly on this wild and magical adventure.
