Police Appeal for witnesses after man seriously assaulted in Southampton

We are appealing for witnesses and dash cam footage after a man suffered serious injuries to his legs and hand after a Kia Ceed was seen to reverse into him on Kingsclere Avenue.

The incident happened at 5.30pm on Saturday 22 June.

The 29-year-old man from Southampton was standing next to his parked green Peugeot 206 when the Kia reversed into him, crushing his legs and hands against his own car.

The Kia then drove off and was later found burnt out in Silver Birch Close.

The man has suffered bruising and swelling to his right leg and an injury to his left hand as a result.

Officers investigating the incident are treating this as an assault and appealing for witnesses or owners of dash cam footage who were in the area at the time on Saturday, to come forward.
