Open day at Andover maternity centre

Open day at Andover maternity centre

TAKE a look around the maternity centre, meet staff and find out about the full range of maternity services provided at Andover War Memorial Hospital during an upcoming open day.

Maternity staff working at the Charlton Road hospital are throwing open the doors to the public between 10am and 4pm on Wednesday 16 January.

Everyone is welcome, especially expectant families who would like to see the facilities available in the maternity centre and find out more about the services provided for pregnancy, birth and postnatal care.

Maxine Ellis, community midwifery matron at Hampshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, which runs Andover hospital, as well as Basingstoke and North Hampshire Hospital and Royal Hampshire County Hospital, in Winchester, said:

The theme of the day is A Journey of Birth and there will be staff available to speak to people about the various services provided at our maternity centre in Andover.

We would also like to hear what people think about the current facilities and services available at the maternity centre to help us find out what we might be able to improve going forward.

There is no need to book, with hot drinks and cakes available for people who would like to attend.
