Audiences who enjoy slapstick and verbal wit should look no further than comic adventure, Once Upon A Time, which heads to Theatre Royal Winchester on Thursday 13 February.
It tells the story of the Brothers Grimm, who, on the eve of publishing the greatest ever collection of fairytales, are met by a shadowy figure from their past, back to collect an old debt. Now, their sister must go on a deadly mission in to the Fairy Tale Kingdom to save them.
Brought to the stage by Gonzo Moose – who, since 2000, have been forging exciting comedy theatre and focusing on clowning and mashing up traditional tales – the show is performed by three fearless actors who switch wildly between many roles, and features a sensational death defying finale.
Inspired by epic fantasy movies of the 1980s, like The Dark Crystal and Labyrinth, and the books of the Brothers Grimm, Once Upon A Time is a fast paced comedy for all ages.
A post show chat follows the performance.
Once Upon A Time will be at Theatre Royal Winchester on Thursday 13 February, at 7.30pm. Find out more, or book tickets, at theatreroyalwinchester.co.uk or call the Box Office on 01962 840 440.
