Hare and the Tortoise

Magical children’s theatre at The Lights

Enjoy the fable of The Hare and the Tortoise at The Lights on Saturday, 27 January at 11am

Winner of the Writer’s Guild ‘Best Play for Children & Young People’, this delightful adaptation of Aesop’s fable about opposites, time and friendship for children aged 3+ and their families is coming to The Lights for a post-Christmas pick-me-up.

Ready? Steady? Go!

Who’s the fastest; who’s the best? Who will finally win the race? Younger, fitter, faster Hare – tearing around, unable to wait – or slow and steady Tortoise – taking the time to look at the stars?

Find out in this funny, tender, award-winning adaptation of the well-loved story as we journey through the seasons from bud-bursting spring to snow-falling winter in a tale of opposites, time and friendship, brimming with music, movement & colour.

The Hare and the Tortoise is brought to you by The Pied Piper Theatre who brought the hit show Burglar Bill to The Lights last year.

“Imaginative, tuneful storytelling show for young children – 4 stars”  The Stage – review at Yvonne Arnaud Theatre
