Naomi House & Jacksplace 21st Birthday Open Day.

Hospices invite the public to 21st Birthday Open Day

Naomi House & Jacksplace, the region’s hospices for children and young adults, are inviting the public to join in the charity’s 21st birthday celebrations at an Open Day and Fete on Saturday 8th September.

The Open Day, sponsored by A-Plan Insurance, presents a rare opportunity for the charity’s supporters and the general public to tour the hospice’s state of the art facilities and learn about the vital medical care offered to children and young adults with life limiting and life threatening illnesses.

Not only is the open day a great opportunity to better understand the work that takes place at the hospices, but a fun day out for the entire family.  Guests will be able to visit the hydrotherapy pool, sensory room, music therapy room, bedrooms and gardens.

There will be also be live music, a bubble show, petting farm, crazy golf, bungee trampolines, a bouncy castle, face painting, beer tent and BBQ.

Keith Wilson, Head of Marketing at Naomi House & Jacksplace, said:

The team here are always excited to stage an open day, and never more so than in this our 21st anniversary year. The open day promises to be fun, joyful and eye opening, and we can’t wait to welcome hundreds of supporters to our very special hospices on 8th September.

Naomi House & Jacksplace offer respite, emergency and end of life care to more than 300 children, young adults and their families each year. The charity also offers post bereavement support to families for as long as is needed. The Open Day is expected to raise around £10,000 towards the charity’s ongoing nursing care and family support costs.

A free park and ride service is available from Forest Edge Kart Club in Barton Stacey, kindly provided by Xelabus. Tickets are just £5 for adults and £1 for under 16s.
