HAMPSHIRE Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is marking Dying Matters Awareness Week by holding a free event offering people the chance to hear more about End of Life Care.
Dr Lara Alloway, Hampshire Hospitals’ consultant in palliative medicine, will speak about Hampshire Hospitals’ approach to End of Life Care, which has been rated as Outstanding by the Care Quality Commission. She will also discuss the planned expansion of the Countess of Brecknock Hospice and Dame Mary Fagan, Chairman of the Countess of Brecknock Hospice Trust, will attend the event.
Hampshire Hospitals’ free Health Focus Talks are an opportunity for patients and the public to hear experts talk about their specialist area of health, meet the trust’s management team and to ask questions.
Everyone in the community can become members of Hampshire Hospitals. It’s free and all you have to do is fill out a simple form. Forms are available on our website www.hampshirehospitals.nhs.uk or at Andover War Memorial Hospital, Basingstoke and North Hampshire Hospital or Royal Hampshire County Hospital, in Winchester, the three hospitals run by the Trust. If you come along to the talk, you can also sign up on the day.
