Classical music for the masses is performed in an all singing, all dancing musical comedy show by Graffiti Classics –– at Theatre Royal Winchester on Friday 31 January.
The Comedy String Quartet describe themselves as 16 strings, eight dancing feet and four voices with one aim – to make classical music wickedly funny and exhilarating for all.
The act that breaks down the elitist image people have of a string quartet presents a show packed with a variety of music styles – part classical concert, a gypsy-folk romp, an opera, stand-up comedy set and dance show, featuring everything from Beethoven to Baroque, Elvis to Saturday Night Fever.
Putting on shows that encourage audience participation and receive rave reviews, Graffiti Classics is an act that performs around the world from the Isle of Wight to Singapore; on cruise ships; in theatres; at festivals; from stadiums filled with 1000s, to intimate wedding and dinner parties.
Graffiti Classics also run interactive educational workshops, bringing the cheeky joy of classical music to kids globally, with the hope of inspiring a new generation of classical performers.
