Get online week 2016

Get Online week is back, 17-23 October, and New Forest District Council’s Digital Champions will be on-hand at community events in local libraries and local markets where they will be encouraging residents across the New Forest to feel confident about going online.

Digital Champions will be holding drop-in sessions where people can turn up with their digital device and get support to get online.

The sessions are at Hythe library on Tuesday 18 October, 10am – 2pm, and New Milton library on Wednesday 19 October, 10am – 2pm.

The digital champions will also be in the towns’ markets on the same days to promote courses that are coming up for job-seekers who would like to know how being online can improve their chances of getting a job.

On Wednesday 19 October at New Milton market, NFDC will be demonstrating ‘Google Garage’, Google’s free online training resource for small businesses and sole traders who want to make more of the opportunities that being online can offer.  Free 1:1 sessions on how to use Google Garage, can be booked by contacting Alison.Talbot@nfdc.gov.uk
