Make a date in the diary to keep Sunday, 13 December free this year to enjoy the Andover Food and Gift Fair taking place from 11am – 6pm in the High Street.
The Fair has amalgamated with the Artisan Market that was originally due to take place the following weekend and will feature a wide range of food and gift stalls including Bumble Bears, Four Brothers Cheese, Mr Pickles, The Gin Stall, Wat’s on Glass and Whisp Drinks.
The festive atmosphere will be enhanced by live music in The Time Ring, and hot food and drink including mulled wine and crepes from The Andover Tap, German sausages and hot chocolate and doughnuts.
Alongside the fair there will be a trail of hidden tags around the town centre for children to find and then claim a prize, plus Father Christmas in his grotto in the Chantry Centre. There are also free Covid-secure family crafting workshops in the Upper Guildhall at 11am, 12.30pm, 2pm and 3.30pm where you can make and take a festive paper wreath. Spaces on these workshops should be pre-booked by emailing: firstname.lastname@example.org
Leader of Test Valley Borough Council, Councillor Phil North, said:
Christmas is nearly upon us, and the Andover Food and Gift Fair is the perfect opportunity to support local traders and artisans, and at the same time, secure perfect gifts and gourmet treats. It is also a great opportunity to enjoy some festive family fun with the town centre trail, workshops and Christmas Grotto; keeping both the grown-ups and the children happy.
