Fulflood Ball

Fulflood Charity Ball moves venue and will provide breakfast for homeless

Trinity Winchester is the chosen charity to benefit from the fifth Fulflood Ball, taking place at Winchester Guildhall on Saturday 14th April.

The Fulflood Ball, organised by a committee of local residents, combines a spectacularly fun-filled evening for the community, with raising money for local causes.

Trinity Winchester offers support to over 600 homeless and vulnerable people every year, with services open 6 days a week. The money raised from the Fulflood Ball will be put into continuing Saturday opening, where people who are rough sleeping can access a free cooked breakfast.

Sue McKenna, Operations Director at Trinity, said:

It is so exciting to be working with the Fulflood committee this year. We are dependent on donations and events to keep the services running, so to be nominated as the charity is wonderful. The Saturday morning breakfasts are a crucial part of what we offer, and for some people may be the only meal they have that day. Thanks to the team for their support.

The Fulflood Ball has raised over £75,000 for charities to date, with the support of hundreds of local companies and residents. The ball is in a brand new venue this year, at the iconic Winchester Guildhall, where there will be dancing, fabulous food, a range of entertainment in the style of Tiffany’s, with the theme “Breakfast at Trinity’s”.

Catherine Skinner has been involved in the event since its inception in 2012. She said:

Although we have loved hosting the Ball at Peter Symonds, we’re all so excited to see the Guildhall transformed into an elegant Tiffany’s style full of people in their black ties and pretty frocks. The much-loved casino will be back, and we hope to raise enough money to keep Saturday breakfast at Trinity going for a whole year. I’m delighted to support such a wonderful, local charity.

Tickets will be on sale in early February 2018. For more information visit www.fulfloodball.co.uk or www.facebook.com/TheFulfloodBall
