Presenter Iolo Williams takes a break from the small screen to talk about his life before TV, when he comes to Theatre Royal Winchester on Wednesday 5 February.
For this special evening Iolo will talk about his experiences working as a Species Officer for the RSPB – a role that brought him to the media’s attention and saw him become a familiar on the BBC’s Autumn Watch, Countryfile, and Secret Life of Birds.
The Welsh nature observer, tour guide, and writer of English and Welsh-language wildlife books will introduce theatre goers to the characters he met while working for the nature conservation charity – including the farmer who held an egg collector over a 40-foot cliff to an oystercatcher that briefly held up Prince Charles’ train.
Iolo – who is connected to various wildlife charities and a passionate public speaker – will also speak about the wildlife and threats they face in this informative, insightful and entertaining talk.
After, there will be a post-show Q&A session.
Iolo Williams’ Life Before the Lens will be at Theatre Royal Winchester on Wednesday 5 February, at 7.30pm. Find out more, or book tickets, at theatreroyalwinchester.co.uk; calling 01962 840 440; or visiting the Box Office at the venue – Theatre Royal Winchester, Jewry Street, SO23 8SB.
