Winton Community Academyheld the annual fundraising activity on Friday 18th September & raised £554 for Jeans for Genes Day.
Students & Staff dressed in denim for the day to raise funds.The yearly event raises awareness of genetic disorders and the money raised funds a range of initiatives that improve the quality of life of half a million children affected by genetic disorders.
The charity says that it is estimated that one in 25 children is affected by a genetic disorder and therefore 30,000 babies & children are newly diagnosed each year.
