Comedian Alexei Sayle goes on tour for the first time in seven years, stopping off at Theatre Royal Winchester from Monday 3 – Tuesday 4 February.
The alternative comedy legend, actor and writer – who has been performing stand-up for forty years ‘since the day he invented modern comedy’ – is bound for stages across the UK to continue being ‘really funny, dangerously political and wildly energetic’, following on from his hugely successful Radio 4 show, Imaginary Sandwich Bar – a mix of stand-up, memoir and philosophical thought.
Described as a ‘master of comedy’, Sayle was a central figure in the alternative comedy scene in the 1980s, becoming London Comedy Store’s first MC; performing on radio and TV; and in movies.
Alexei Sayle will be at Theatre Royal Winchester from Monday 3 – Tuesday 4 February. Find out more, or book tickets, at theatreroyalwinchester.co.uk; calling 01962 840 440; or visiting the Box Office at the venue – Theatre Royal Winchester, Jewry Street, SO23 8SB.
