The Pride of Andover Awards has donated nearly £500 to local hospice…
Following an energetic and emotional awards ceremony held at The Lights on 24th October, the Pride of Andover Awards has donated £469 to The Countess of Brecknock Hospice.
Presented to the charity last week, the funds – which were generously given by guests of the Awards’ evening last month – will help the Hospice to provide specialist care for people with life-limiting illness in and around Andover.
Matron Sarah McGaughey of The Countess of Brecknock said of the donation:
We were overwhelmed and delighted with the generous donation from the Pride of Andover Awards committee, which will make a real difference to our work.
The Pride of Andover Awards exists to shed light on the town’s unsung heroes – endorsing the inspiring and often selfless actions of Andover’s most generous individuals; promoting a sense of pride in our unique north Hampshire town.
