Independent fostering agency Blue Sky hold celebration for fostering families from across the south of England.
Hampshire based fostering agency Blue Sky recently held its annual family fun day, bringing together Foster Carers and their families at a countryside village hall
The event aims to bring together Foster Carers, children and staff from across the Blue Sky region, including its offices in Ringwood, Basingstoke, Swanwick and Romsey to enjoy family fun, games and food.
On the day, Foster Carers, their birth and their foster children were treated to live music by Ukulele band Strumdiddlyumptious and inflatables provided by Simply the Best. The Little Zoo brought along their petting zoo, which provided a hands-on experience for children and adults alike.
As part of the celebration, Foster Carers, staff and children were treated to Mexican Food by La Cantina and The Happy Fryer provided fish and chips all followed up by Raffaeles ice cream. Bicycle smoothie maker, and I’m sure there was another food van?
Blue Sky’s Founder and CEO, Simon Lockyer says:
Blue Sky isn’t an organisation you join, it’s a family where you belong, that’s why every year the whole Blue Sky family comes together for our annual fun day. It’s the one day a year where all our Foster carers, colleagues, young people and extended family members connect and get to know each other better, over food and fun activities.
The Blue Sky family continued to support its chosen charity, The Childs I Foundation at the fun day. Some of the Blue Sky staff entered the stocks to be pelted with wet sponges all in the name of fundraising.
Could you provide a sense of belonging to a vulnerable young child?
