Aspire Defence sponsors Pride of Andover Awards 2018, Heart of Gold Award…
Following an energetic and well-attending launch event in June, the Pride of Andover Awards 2018 is now open for nominations.
This year, nominees have the chance to be shortlisted in any one of nine awards categories, including the Heart of Gold Award, sponsored by Aspire Defence.
The Heart of Gold Award category recognises an individual whose kindness and generosity has affected the lives of others in a positive way.
Aspire Defence builds and maintains single living and working accommodation on Army garrisons across Salisbury Plain Training Area and at Aldershot, ensuring soldiers live, work and train in the best possible environments. The company is currently delivering new and improved infrastructure to support the Army Basing Programme – the withdrawal of troops from Germany in 2019 and relocation of Army Units within the UK.
Allan Thomson, Chief Executive of Aspire Defence Limited, commented on the Heart of Gold Award:
Aspire Defence is delighted to sponsor the Pride of Andover Awards for the second year running and, in particular, the Heart of Gold Award. This is a really prestigious award that recognises the great efforts people go to, to look after others and help their community.
We are a large employer in the local area and many of our employees and the soldiers we look after live in Andover, so we are really passionate about these awards. We encourage everyone to look around them and think about nominating someone who deserves recognition.
The nominations for the Pride of Andover Awards are now open, ending on 31st August.
Those interested in nominating their colleagues, friends or family for an award are asked to do so by filling out the simple online form available on the website.
The Pride of Andover Awards exists to shed light on the town’s unsung heroes – endorsing the inspiring and often selfless actions of Andover’s most generous individuals; promoting a sense of pride in our unique north Hampshire town.
