Walk4PTSD this October – Veterans in Action

Veterans in Action (VIA) have organised a sponsored walk from Stockbridge to Andover on Saturday 1st October at 9am to raise money, raise awareness and help those suffering from Post Traumatic Stress Disorder. We are trying to Stop The Stigma of those who suffer.
.
Every day we are sending servicemen and women to fight for us, to strengthen infrastructure in countries thousands of miles away from home, to keep us safe and secure in our beds. And they’re happy to do it – this is a vocation for many and the rewards of the job are plentiful, but what do we do if they come back broken? We can fix their limbs, we can heal their scars but, sadly, there are few resources put into the healing of mental scars, and that’s where we help.

Please come along and show your support for those veterans who have given so much in the service of our country. Who long after the war/s have finished are still fighting, the biggest battle of all, the battle of their minds.

Spend a few hours walking with the veterans along the beautiful Test Way. What ever you raise goes to a worthy cause, for those that raise £50, they will get a Walk4PTSD Andover T-Shirt.

Member of Parliament for North West Hampshire Kit Malthouse, The Worshipful Mayor of Test Valley Karen Hamilton and Jim Davidson will be at the start to see us off.
