Anya Jackson planned to visit South Africa with her Dad David, sadly the journey never happened after David passed away at Oakhaven.
Anya along with her two friends Courtney Ferguson and Hannah Bicket decided to do their own “journey” in his memory. Every day for a year they would run, walk, or cycle 5.6 miles each until in 365 days a total of 6016 miles had been covered which was the distance from Anya’s home to South Africa.
Now a year later, they have done it and raised over £10,071 in the process, congratulations ladies, a fantastic achievement and brilliant sum raised.

The Journey has been an epic adventure for Anya, Courtney and Hannah. For three young ladies to dedicate part of every day for a whole year to fundraise for us is a huge commitment and we are overwhelmed by the support they have had helping them to raise over £10,000 for Oakhaven. We cannot thank the girls enough for undertaking this phenomenal challenge for us.
