This is a fantastic local opportunity to hear two world class musicians, Thomas Trotter and Roger Owens, performing an Organ and Piano Duo Concert supporting the Mayor of Winchester’s Charities.
This unique event is happening on

St. John’s Church, Alresford
…where the unusual and entertaining combination of the piano and organ will perform popular works together including Gershwin’s Rhapsody in Blue, the Warsaw Concerto and other well-known concert pieces.
Thomas Trotter is one of Britain’s most widely admired musicians. He is the Resident Organist at Symphony Hall, Birmingham and at St. Margaret’s Church, Westminster Abbey and performs throughout the USA and Europe.
Roger Owens has established himself as one of the most versatile pianists, regularly performing at venues in the UK and Europe. He is Head of Keyboard at Peter Symonds College, Winchester and Professor of Piano at the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama.
Tickets, for what will be a most entertaining evening, cost just £15 for adults and £10 for children and students, and are easily available from the Winchester Tourist Information Centre, Six West in Alresford, or online at www.mayorofwinchestercharities.co.uk
All proceeds from the Duo Concert will go to the Mayor’s Charities: Combat Stress, Music for All, Winchester Youth Counselling, Home Start and Street Reach.
There will be a bar run by Rotary open for refreshments from 6.30pm.
