Two men charged following serious Andover collision

We have charged two men following a collision in Andover in which a six-year-old boy sustained serious injuries.

The collision involving two motorcycles and the six-year-old pedestrian took place in London Road at around 7pm on Sunday, July 17.

The boy sustained serious head and leg injuries.

Nathan Crocker, 24, of The Grove, Penton Grafton has been charged with:

• causing serious injury by dangerous driving
• driving without a licence
• driving without insurance
• failing to stop after a road accident
• failing to report that accident.

Damian Wernham, 23, of Dene Court, Andover has been charged with:

• dangerous driving
• driving without a licence
• driving without insurance.

Both men have been bailed to appear at Basingstoke Magistrates’ Court on December 22.

A third man, a 21-year-old from Andover, was also arrested in July – there will be no further action against him in relation to this collision.
