Test Valley Business Awards final entry prize winner announced

Romsey business owner picks final entry prize winner for 2016

Eve Robertson, Director of Specsavers Romsey, has picked the winner of the Test Valley Business Awards’ final entry prize; Mark Lech of The White Hart who has won a bottle of sparkling wine courtesy of Danebury Vineyard.

The selection comes after Eve, was picked at random to win the Awards’ third in a series of entry prizes – a ladies’ pamper set donated by Bliss, Andover.

I’m delighted to have won this luxurious prize simply for entering the Awards, said Eve. It feels good to be recognised, and I’m glad I’ve entered this year; I’m proud of running a successful local business and the Test Valley Business Awards is all about celebrating exactly that. I urge other local businesses to enter before the closing date!

The Awards categories and Gold Sponsors for 2016 are:

• Doing Business Locally – Taylored IT
• Food & Drink Producer of the Year – McCrimmon & Reid
• Innovation & Technology Award – University of Southampton Science Park
• New Business of the Year – Test Valley Borough Council
• Small Business of the Year – Wilkins Kennedy

There is also a special award for 2016, in memory of long-standing Steering Committee member Brenda Locke, who sadly passed away suddenly last year. The Brenda Locke Award, sponsored by Andover Mutual Business Group and friends of Brenda, will celebrate Women in Business.

Businesses have until midnight on 6th May to enter into the running, and are encourage to enter as many categories as possible, with roughly 200 words according to the relevant judging criteria.

Now in its 12th year, the Test Valley Business Awards – run by a small steering group of volunteers and supported by the Council – has become a well-established platform to promote businesses excellence and especially to shine a light on the many new and small innovative businesses operating out of sight. It is a great way to enable smaller enterprises to gain the recognition and exposure to grow.

Businesses are free to enter themselves or members of the public, and other businesses may nominate partners, suppliers, or local businesses they feel are deserving of an award; the Awards are free to enter and all nominations and entries must be done online; nominations/entries close on 6th May 2016.

For more information about the Awards, and for your chance to win the next entry prize, nominate and enter today by visiting:  www.tvbawards.org.uk
