This summer, the fantastic facilities at St Swithun’s are being used for a varied events programme for both adults and children.
We are very honoured to be able to host renowned British artist Ian Murphy from 11th – 13th July. Ian will host a three day workshop at St Swithun’s for artists of all abilities, aged 16 and over. Ian, whose work has been referenced in GCSE art examinations, provides drawing and painting workshops that encourage those of all abilities to harness their creative energy and gain expert guidance from a professional artist and experienced teacher. The course will take place at St Swithun’s in our dedicated, well-equipped art studio and will include all materials, tuition and lunch each day.
In August, Kim Ross, head of art at St Swithun’s School, is holding a Life Drawing workshop with local artist Charlotte Wirdnam. Held over three days for artists aged 16 and over, the course provides a broad approach to life drawing under expert guidance, allowing participants to develop their skills alongside others with this shared interest.
St Swithun’s is holding a number of summer camps in the school holidays for children, from multi activity to various sports, dance and baking. A particular highlight of the summer will be the TryTri triathlon on 9th July for both adults and children. We would encourage anyone looking for something fun and rewarding this summer to consider St Swithun’s.
Places for art courses are limited so early booking is advised. Please contact our dedicated lettings team on lettings@stswithuns.com or call 01962 835715 to enquire or book
