Folk duo Sound of the Sirens stops off at The Lights for a pre-Christmas concert on Thursday, 21 December
The Sound Of The Sirens is two young ladies from Exeter – Abbe Martin and Hannah Wood. Deserving winners of their home city’s prestigious Battle Of The Bands competition, they combine agile guitar-playing, soaring harmonies and lyrical, heartfelt song-writing to make lushly melodic music.
Drawing from diverse influences including Bob Dylan, Ed Sheeran, Joni Mitchell, KT Tunstall and the Carpenters, they write from a personal experience that they feel others can relate to.
2017 has been a stellar year for the girls, who have gone down a storm on the festival circuit, and are now working on consolidating their following around the country.
They will be making their debut appearance in the Arena at The Lights on Thursday, 21 December – the perfect de-stress event to enjoy before Christmas!
