Small businesses celebrate success

Independent businesses in Andover town centre will be offering shoppers some quality products at unmissable deals on 3 December in celebration of Small Business Saturday.

Andover town centre partnership and the Chamber of Commerce will be supported by Test Valley Borough Council – Hampshire’s most small-business-friendly local authority according to the Federation of Small Businesses – to offer shoppers fantastic deals, live music and entertainment in recognition of the unique offering that independent retailers bring to the local economy.

Economic Portfolio Holder, Councillor Peter Giddings, said:

Small businesses are a vital part of our local economy and I am pleased to see retailers taking part in the celebrations. As well as music and entertainment in the town centre, The Lights theatre will host its annual Food and Gift Fair from 10am to 3pm. It’s a great time to get out and about and enjoy all the things that our small businesses have to offer.

Participating retailers will also launch a prize draw on 3 December where customers will be in with a chance to win £250 to spend in town. For more information about Small Business Saturday, visit www.smallbusinesssaturdayuk.com
