Head to Andover High Street this Sunday, 16 October between 10am and 2pm and sample some of the tastiest local treats and handmade crafts.
Newcomers this month are Hannah Rose flowers – a florist which specialises in vintage blooms, and Huntington-Bourne Bakery – cake slices, tartlets, pastries and muffins with a taste of South Africa, Greece and America. All of which sounds like a perfect excuse to decorate the table with beautiful flowers and tasty cakes and invite some friends for an afternoon of chat and laughter!
Regular stall holders this month will include Greenfield Pork and Hampshire Game, Artisan Dairy and Oaktrack Smallholding – just right to start stocking up early for Christmas. There will also be plenty of gift opportunities from, among others, Carla’s Reading Delights, Brinny & Co and Sandy Barnes with her silver jewellery and miscellaneous sparkly items.
Leader of the Council, Councillor Ian Carr, said:
It is great to be able to buy and sample some of the marvellous food and goods produced locally. Supporting the Farmers’ Market is a brilliant way of helping to keep the local economy stimulated and vibrant. It is superb to see such a wonderful variety of local small businesses.
Music in the Time Ring from Kai Choi and Jake Ward will provide the perfect backdrop to what promises to be a busy market.
