The new Park and Ride at Pitt is situated on Romsey Road near Pitt roundabout adding another 199 spaces to the overall 1650 park and ride parking spaces now available in Winchester City.

Winchester City Council has been working in partnership with St. Peter’s Catholic Primary School to encourage a safer environment for children and neighbours offering twelve car park spaces for school use.

Councillor James Byrnes, Portfolio Holder for Local Economy, said;

The Park and Ride services are a fundamental part of our parking provision to ensure that the vitality and resilience of the local economy is strengthened. We’re driven to improve the quality of our environment offering customers a convenient and cost effective way to travel into Winchester.

Bovis Homes, who funded the new park and ride site, worked closely with the City Council on the design and infrastructure.
