You are invited to join us at the next Hampshire Flute/Piccolo Day. This is a wonderful opportunity to play your flute with friends and to get top tips from professional flautist and piccolo specialist, Peter Verhoyen. The morning’s activities will include warm ups with your flute, flute fitness and tone development, top tips for your piccolo playing and the option to join Zoë Smith for an individual flute and piano session to work on any exam pieces or forthcoming performances you may have. In the afternoon, there will be masterclasses with Peter and Zoë, and flute choir sessions run by Carrie Hensel.

Local flute repairer, Nigel Salmon of ‘Broken Wind’, will be on hand in the morning to make small repairs to your flute and answer questions about care and maintenance of your flute, all free-of-charge. His website is www.brokenwind.co.uk
The flute day tickets are £20 each and must be booked in advance. Participants from the day, grade 3 to advanced, will perform in the 5.30pm concert, which will also feature a recital by Peter and Zoë and a performance by the Hampshire Flute Choir. The concert will begin at 5.30pm. Concert tickets are £10 for adults, £5 for children. Everyone is welcome to the evening concert, and those who have attended during the day can come for free!
