Christmas spirit filled an exercise suit recently as members and staff of the Toning Centre in Romsey held a Christmas coffee morning.
After a year of staying fit and active, members were invited to indulge in a mince pie to celebrate the festive season.
The event was also an opportunity for members of the Toning Centre at Romsey Rapids to reflect on their fitness achievements in 2016.
I have arthritis in my hips and my shoulders so coming to the centre is really good for getting me moving more. It has also improved my breathing. said Gerry Scriven, age 70.
Barry Goodman, who has been a member for six months said:
It’s a really good way of staying fit and healthy – I couldn’t stand up by myself six months ago!
Kate Channing, Every Body Active coordinator at The Rapids said:
It’s so nice to sit and chat with everyone and celebrate how far they have come. A lot of our members have had operations or different health problems so its really great to see how they have reached their goals this year.
