Contemporary Dance Demystified!

Come and find out more about contemporary dance at a free talk at The Lights on 6 July.

Join Chantry Dance Company’s Artistic Directors for a talk in which they will introduce you to contemporary dance, and show you how this modern style of dance can be exciting, interesting and accessible to everyone!

Contemporary dance is often perceived as a form of dance that can only be enjoyed by those with a dance background, but Chantry Dance Company (CDC) will explode this myth, and present an entertaining and informative talk designed to give you an insight into what can be one of the most beautiful, thought-provoking and exhilarating art-forms.

The talk will include dance demonstrations by CDC’s professional dancers and choreographers.

Contemporary Dance Demystified! is presented ahead of Chantry Dance Company’s performance of The Sandman coming to The Lights in October 2017.

CDC is run by choreographers Paul Chantry & Rae Piper, who are also known for their work on popular shows including Gangsta Granny and the Horrible Histories stage shows.

To find out more call into The Lights and pick up a brochure.  To buy tickets or join the mailing list, visit www.thelights.org.uk or call the Box Office on 01264 368368.
