Sparshaolt Graduates

Colleges top leader board for higher education student satisfaction.

There is much trepidation this week as students receive their A level results and embark on the next stage of their lives. With many securing coveted places at university others will be changing their minds or seeking solutions through the Clearing process. But it’s not just universities in the frame – many college offer degree level programmes and this week’s announcement of the results of the National Student Survey 2016 uncovered an unusual trend in that colleges of further and higher education as opposed to traditional universities ranked highest for student satisfaction.

Local land based institution, Sparsholt College has been offering specialist degree programmes for many years in association with the University of Portsmouth and achieved a satisfaction rate of 88% in the survey putting them in the top five of all land-based institutions in the UK.

Sparsholt College Principal Tim Jackson said:

I’m not surprised to see colleges top the leader board for higher education student satisfaction. We know from our experience here that colleges can offer HE students a unique opportunity, often providing these students with a far more personalised experience with enhanced tutor time, industry links and industry based research opportunities, leading to top employability. The latest NSS results demonstrate that students can enjoy a full and rich HE experience at a college and I hope that come results day on Thursday those keen to work in the specialist industries we train for will pick up the phone and call our Clearing hotline.

Sparsholt College has places available on most of their full and part time degree courses and are encouraging interested students to call the Clearing hot line 01962 797269 or message through social media once the results are out this week.

With new postgraduate loans now available there is also opportunity for graduates to consider Master’s level study. The College on the outskirts of Winchester provides specialist degree courses for the land and environment where students enjoy unrivalled facilities, expert lecturers with top class industry links and connections and of course, high levels of student satisfaction.
