Keith Wilson, marketing manager at Naomi House & Jacksplace hospices, has been presented with an Inspiring Communicator Award by CharityComms.
He has worked at Naomi House & Jacksplace for 5 years, during which time he oversaw a visit by HRH the Duchess of Cambridge, and the organisation’s high profile ‘Caterpillar Appeal’ which raised more £4 million to refurbish the hospice. He regularly takes part in Naomi House & Jacksplace’s fundraising events and recently pushed a blind grandfather of 16 around the London Marathon course in a wheelchair.
The father of two from Andover was nominated by his colleagues who said, “the sky is never the limit for Keith, he would go to the moon and back for Naomi House & Jacksplace”. They added, “his aim is always to share with honesty and integrity the stories of families that use the hospices.”
CharityComms is the membership network for communications professionals working in charities across the UK. Other winners of the Inspiring Communicator Award include Michael McGrath, founder of The Muscle help Foundation and Steve Ford, Chief Executive of Parkinson’s UK.
Commenting on the award, Keith said:
I’m both humbled and delighted to pick up this award, and am extremely grateful to my colleagues for nominating me. Naomi House & Jacksplace is a charity on the move. We are caring for more life-limited and life-threatened children and young people than ever before, and the conditions we see are increasingly complex. To be able to play my small part in delivering vital care services to hundreds of families is both an honour and a privilege.
Naomi House & Jacksplace offers respite, community, emergency, end of life and bereavement care to children, young people and families from across central southern England.
