Egg Day Nursery Opening

Brand new nursery opens in Picket Twenty

Egg Day Nursery has opened its second nursery in the Picket Twenty development in Andover, which will offer a fantastic setting for babies, toddlers and pre-school children within a caring, professional and above all safe environment.

The new nursery has been purpose built and designed to ensure that the building is bright with plenty of natural light spilling through the windows, whilst designated areas will be created to ensure that they’re age appropriate and designed to suit the developmental needs of each individual age group. Underfloor heating has been installed throughout, whilst outside play area access points directly off the rooms will be opened up to ensure that children can have free access during the day to safe, secure play areas to enjoy plenty of fresh air and exercise.

Egg Day Nursery’s garden has been designed and landscaped by early years experts Earth Wrights. Babies will enjoy their own dedicated baby area with, whilst the older children have access to a natural climbing frame, scooter track, tunnel and huge sandpit with water pump, allowing plenty of opportunity to have fun with sand and water.

A brand new kitchen has been installed and the full time chef will ensure the nursery can offer a varied menu of nutritionally balanced meals which children will love. Safety is of paramount importance at Egg Day Nursery, with CCTV installed in each room, the garden and entrance door to enable the Nursery Manager to monitor each area at all times.

The nursery is open for 51 weeks of the year and provides both full and part time places for children from birth to 5 years. The nursery also provides places for children who are eligible for their free government funded early years education.

The nursery was formally opened on Friday 1st April by the Mayor of Test Valley, Councillor Iris Andersen who said said:

I am delighted to officially open Egg Day Nursery at Picket Twenty. The experienced, professional staff at the nursery will provide local young families with an excellent and much needed childcare facility close to home. The nursery is well-equipped, modern and will be open almost all year round. I wish the staff at Egg the very best of luck with their new venture.”

Owners Anthony & Briony White are passionate about offering the best facility in the area alongside their first nursery in Sutton Scotney near Winchester, which is rated outstanding by Ofsted.

Briony, who is a qualified teacher comments:

We have enjoyed tremendous success with our first nursery and I would urge parents who are thinking about childcare options to take a look at our website or simply give us a call to discuss their forthcoming needs.
