The Army Arts Society Annual Exhibition 2016 is now open!

On Thursday 20th October, Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Wiltshire, Mrs Sarah Troughton, formally opened the exhibition, judging and awarding prizes. She congratulated all the artists for their energy and style, adding that it was an amazing show with some of the most inspiring pictures she had seen in a long while.

The growing understanding in the military of the benefits of art as therapy is clearly on show in a range of thought provoking works by the wounded and injured. These include artwork from Combat Stress and Tedworth House.

Stunning photographs and sculpture add breadth to the exhibition.  Don’t miss this exciting show!

The exhibition can be seen at The Young Gallery, Salisbury Library and is open from 10am to 5pm, Monday to Saturday until Saturday 5th November 2016.
