With sell-out crowds, incredible live music acts, great food and a rich mix of family entertainment, CarFest South returned to Hampshire for another incredible year
Families arrived in abundance this weekend to the iconic Laverstoke Park Farm for three days of non-stop entertainment at CarFest South and even the weather couldn’t dampen the spirits of young and old alike. The unmissable family festival did not fail to disappoint with live music from a whole host of singers and bands including James Bay, Paloma Faith, Razorlight, Clean Bandit, Miles Kane, The X Factor 2018 Winners – Rak Su, Go West and Richard Ashcroft. Not forgetting Carfest’s incredible supergroup, featuring Ricky Wilson, The Feeling, Gary Kemp, Sophie Ellis-Bextor, and Beverley Knight. They were also joined by some of the best unsigned acts on the WigWam Stage.
Car fanatics were able to enjoy a collection of the funkiest, prettiest, widest, smallest, oldest and most futuristic cars from around the world. There was stunt action galore and Carfest’s most prestigious super car line-up yet. Visitors were able to admire the Aston Martin Valkyrie AMR Pro in its first UK appearance, with Adrian Newey also on site to admire the Valkyrie in the flesh. Other cars in attendance included next season’s highly anticipated Season 5 Generation 2 Formula E car and Mike Hawthorne’s 1955 LeMans Winning Jaguar D-Type, Ayrton Senna’s 1984 Toleman-Hart F1 car and John Surtees’ F5000 car.
Over in the CarFest Kitchen, Bake Off Winner Candice Brown cooked up a storm alongside 2017 Celebrity MasterChef winner Angellica Bell.
2018 has undoubtedly been the best year yet for CarFesters!
