Blink and you might miss it… Another new year is here. A chapter in time for us to look outwards at our situations, inwards at how we feel and onwards towards a better future. So, wherever you’re at, however you’re feeling right now and whatever challenges you have in front of you, these 5 tips will help you make 2018 a great year for your health and happiness.
1. Plan your holidays first It’s a great tactic.
Book your holidays in advance, or at the very least, book the TIME out of your diary now. Have a chat with your partner/family/ friends and allocate the time away from the stress and noise of everyday life. Even if you have a “stay-cation” it’s all good. Just control the time, before the time controls you!
2. Think of 1 thing you’re going to do EVEN BETTER this year
Whatever it is, think about that thing that you know you could do better. Make more effort, get more done and be more proactive. It starts with an action plan. So what is it for you?
3. Learn something new this year
What’s the one thing you wish you could learn/study/understand better? Chances are, there is something that you are passionate about, but maybe haven’t gone “all in” on yet. Time is the currency of life, so stop wasting it, and go follow that force that is pulling you towards that thing! You never know, it could change your life!
4. Healthy living is not just for January
This year, make the commitment to see it through. Yes there will be ups and downs, but you owe it to yourself and your health to make a conscious effort with food and exercise all year. To do this successfully, think long term solution rather than short term fix. It must be sustainable and integrate with your busy life.
5. Create life long memories on a weekly basis
You can do this. Think about all the people in your life that matter to you. Speak to them, see them, do things with them regularly and be the one to take your relationships to the next level of love and quality. Suggest new things, make the effort, saviour the moments and laugh more than you’ve ever laughed in a year before! 2018 is your year. I’m excited for you. How could you possibly make 2018 the BEST year you’ve ever had?
