On the 23rd September Lloyds Banking Group, Charlton Place had the honour of welcoming Cllr Iris Andersen, Mayor of Test Valley into the business to introduce her to colleagues and showcase some of the great work we are doing for customers, colleagues and our local community.

Iris spent some time with Lee Parker, Head of PCA, who took the opportunity to give Iris a firsthand glimpse of the Andover Operation. He walked her through the various departments describing their
responsibilities, and the focus on customer experience and how they continuously look to improve the Customers journey.

Sam Abraham, Business Performance Manager and colleagues shared with Iris the great work being done with local schools, such as John Hanson where Lloyds Banking Group supported students with interview techniques and skills. This brought to life how passionate and real the colleagues are about supporting the local community.

They also talked about the various volunteering and charity work taken on by colleagues. Like the recent participation in the Naomi House Store Wars challenge in which colleagues raised £3,500.

So far this year Lloyds Banking Group PCA Operations have raised £26,000 for local causes and charities and provided 1,500 hours worth of volunteering time, demonstrating that as a large organisation they want to make a difference in and around Andover.
Iris was very supportive and remarked;

Lloyds Banking Group is definitely more visible than ever in the local Andover community, I
can’t believe the culture and how engaged the colleagues are to make a difference for the Customer and Community.

Having the opportunity to welcome the Mayor of Test Valley to the Andover site for me is testament to all the hard work we have collectively put in this year. It was great to show Iris around and really showcase Just how we are to making a difference together.

Lee Parker, Head of Personal Current Accounts
